ABOUT ME
About Me
Hi, I’m Louise — a therapist, coach, and business owner dedicated to helping individuals and leaders navigate change, overcome burnout, and thrive in their work and life.
My journey has been anything but linear. When I first graduated with a Master’s of Social Work ten years ago, I was eager to make a difference in the world. Little did I know, my career path would take me on a deeply transformative journey, full of twists, turns, and personal reinvention.
My Story: From Burnout to Transformation
I started my career in working with complex trauma and childhood adversity within a system of generational trauma. It was rewarding but also emotionally taxing. After a few years, I experienced burnout and decided to step away from the profession — my first break from social work.
In my next chapter, I pivoted to running a highly successful personal training and nutrition coaching business. My focus was on changing the fitness industry’s approach to eating disorders and body image issues. As a subject matter expert on disordered eating in fitness, I was invited to speak at events, consult with well-known fitness professionals, and contribute to articles and podcasts.
Despite my success in the fitness industry, I felt the pull back to my roots in mental health. I returned to the field, earned my accreditation as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), and began working as a therapist with a trauma-informed and attachment-based approach. I have been trained in several therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, EFT, EMDR, and trauma therapy.
Along the way, I discovered my passion for mentoring and coaching. I trained as a Clinical Supervisor, helping other clinicians grow in their careers. In 2021, I decided to pursue further education and completed my Graduate Certificate in Coaching Psychology at Sydney University. This added a new dimension to my work, allowing me to support individuals and leaders through both therapy and coaching.
My Values & Approach
Over the years, I’ve continually honed my leadership and professional skills, working with some of the most respected organizations in human services. Today, I’m proud to run my own business, where I focus on creating systemic change.
My approach to therapy and coaching is rooted in authenticity, psychological safety, and a commitment to ongoing learning. I believe in the power of human connection, vulnerability, and taking courageous action toward change — whether it’s overcoming burnout, navigating career transitions, or fostering healthier work environments.
